Illumera is a Japan Beta prototype. We collect minimal information — primarily your email address to keep you informed about the product. We do not sell your data. Ever.
1. Who We Are
Illumera (operated at illumera.io) is an AI-native personal travel concierge in active development, Japan-first. For privacy inquiries, contact us at hello@illumera.io.
2. Information We Collect
When you interact with the Illumera Japan Beta, we may collect:
- Email address — collected via our Tally-powered waitlist form when you voluntarily choose to join.
- Anonymous usage data — page views, session duration, and general interaction patterns via Google Analytics 4, PostHog, and Meta Pixel (when activated).
- Travel DNA quiz responses — processed entirely in your browser. No quiz answers are transmitted to or stored on any server.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To send you updates about Illumera’s beta launch and product progress.
- To understand how users interact with the prototype so we can improve it.
- To contact you when beta access becomes available.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling beyond what is described above.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the product:
- Tally — waitlist form provider. Subject to Tally’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymous usage analytics. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- PostHog — product analytics. Subject to PostHog’s Privacy Policy.
- Meta Pixel — advertising analytics. Subject to Meta’s Data Policy.
- Unsplash — destination photography. Images are loaded directly from Unsplash’s CDN.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain your email address until: (a) you become an active Illumera user at launch, (b) you unsubscribe from our communications, or (c) you request deletion. Anonymous analytics data is retained per each provider’s standard retention period.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@illumera.io with the subject line “Privacy Request” and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Age Restriction
Illumera is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data to us, please contact us immediately.
8. Cookies
We use cookies for analytics purposes only. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may affect how analytics tools function but will not affect your ability to use the prototype.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States, by our third-party service providers. We ensure these transfers are covered by appropriate data protection safeguards.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Illumera evolves. We will notify waitlist members of material changes via email. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
